GitKraken's 2026 State of AI in Engineering report, based on a survey of 554 developers and engineering leaders, found that 96.4% of engineering organizations now use AI coding tools. GitKraken's research found that 84% of developers already report higher productivity with AI coding tools. The next challenge isn't writing more code.
