CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - s4story -- Jan-Carol Publishing, Inc., of Johnson City, Tennessee, is proud to celebrate Black History Month with the Honorable John W. McClarty, Judge, author of The Dreamer: John W. McClarty.

Judge John W. McClarty is an appellate judge on the Tennessee Court of Appeals. He is a graduate of Austin Peay State University and the Southern University Law Center. He is a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

In his autobiography, the Honorable Judge John W. McClarty shares his story of a Black youth's dream to become a lawyer and the obstacles he overcame to successfully accomplish his goal. With family photos and family history, he details his struggles and how he accomplished success.

When asked about his hopes for his memoir, Judge McClarty answered, "It is my hope and prayer to inspire those reading my words to pursue their own dreams. If I can succeed in accomplishing my goals, albeit with a great deal of prayer, hard work, a strong inner desire, much help, and some luck, others can do the same, if not even more."
