Cerebral Palsy Alberta to Host Empowering Edmonton Breakfast Featuring Keynote Speaker Alvin Law
S For Story/10702434
EDMONTON, Alberta - s4story -- EDMONTON, AB — Cerebral Palsy Alberta (CP Alberta) will host the Empowering Edmonton Breakfast on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the Sandman Hotel Downtown Edmonton on Jasper Avenue. The morning event brings together business leaders, community members, and champions of inclusion in support of Albertans in the disability community.
Guests will enjoy breakfast and a mimosa toast while connecting with fellow supporters and hearing directly from the organization about the impact of its programs. Beyond the program itself, the breakfast is designed as a genuine networking opportunity. The morning's format leaves room for guests to connect over the meal, build relationships with other business leaders and community advocates, and explore new partnerships in support of Alberta's disability community — making it a valuable stop for anyone looking to grow their network alongside a good cause.

This year's keynote speaker is Alvin Law, an internationally recognized motivational speaker, bestselling author, and 2009 inductee into the Canadian Association of Speakers' Hall of Fame. Born without arms, Law learned to use his feet for everyday tasks, including playing drums, piano, and trombone, and has spent decades turning his story into a message about resilience and possibility. Since launching his speaking career in 1988, he has addressed audiences on five continents and has helped raise well over $100 million for charitable causes worldwide. Guests can expect a keynote that blends storytelling, live music, and humour into an experience that goes well beyond a typical motivational talk.
"This event is about connection and purpose," said Cindy Turnquist, event organizer with Cerebral Palsy Alberta. "Every ticket, every sponsorship, and every fundraising dollar raised goes directly toward programs and support services that empower individuals and families in Alberta's disability community."
