ATLANTA - s4story -- The forthcoming anthology Dear Black Woman: Honoring the Inner Child with Love, Compassion, and Triumph kicked off its journey with an empowering virtual meeting led by Kami Redd, the anthology's creator. The meeting, held on November 19, 2024, brought together dynamic Black women from around the world to discuss the transformative power of storytelling. Special guest speakers shared valuable insights to inspire contributors as they prepare their submissions for this groundbreaking book project.
"This anthology is about more than writing—it's about healing, connecting, and celebrating our journeys," said Kami Redd. "The speakers we brought together set the tone for what this project will achieve: a collective voice that honors the strength and beauty of Black women."

- As a writing coach and minister, Jeri Darby shared the challenges and rewards of writing from a place of trauma. She encouraged contributors to push through emotional triggers, reclaim their voices, and see their stories as acts of healing and empowerment.
- "Your triggers are your most powerful stories," said Darby. "When you write through the pain, you uncover deeper healing and create something that can ripple through generations."
- Nicole Felicite
- Topic: Global Perspective and Community Building
- Nicole, a confidence coach and expert in emotional intelligence, emphasized the importance of addressing global challenges that affect Black women, from inequitable policies to the need for community-based support systems.
- "The revolution doesn't need to be televised—it begins with us healing and creating supportive communities," she shared.
