Debut Novel Based on True Events Shines Humor, Mayhem, and Camaraderie on Sailors from a Bygone Era
S For Story/10516732
Jolly Walker Bittick makes his debut in the literary world with Cape Henry House, a story based on true events about a ragtag group of sailors and their partying adventures.
SEQUIM, Wash. - s4story -- In Cape Henry House, two sailors of a notorious group at a naval aircraft squadron are invited to move into the house of a newly married couple to help with the rent. Excited to have a space off base to chill, friends, and friends of friends, are invited to join them in relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere. What happens instead is beyond anyone's imagination. In the end, the wild events at the house and at various other places in town form lifelong friendships and memories.
Bittick said his inspiration for penning the story stemmed from nostalgia and the importance of memorializing and celebrating life's experiences, noting, "As each year passes, the memories of the actual house, and of the people that made it the boisterous place it was all those years ago, becomes more important to the understanding of what makes life's experiences and those you share them with special."
