Earth Day Gets Bloody in Brooklyn with Satirical Short Film: Don't Litter in Prospect Park!!

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - s4story -- Brooklyn, NY — In celebration of Earth Day, Brooklyn filmmaker Christopher Wells is flipping the script on eco-awareness with a hilariously unhinged short film that's equal parts B-horror, dark comedy, and righteous environmental vengeance: Don't Litter in Prospect Park!! Available on YouTube - https://youtu.be/SgpQe-SwGRc?si=o52dgV83pdciEC88
Inspired by a real and outrageous act of vandalism that left Prospect Park strewn with trash—upended bins, garbage in the dog pond, and a general aura of "what the hell is wrong with people?"—Wells channeled his fury not into fists, but into film. The result is a retro-style satire where litterbugs don't just get called out—they get taken out.

"I wanted bloody vengeance… so I made a movie," says Wells. "There's nothing funny about littering—except when greasers with John Travolta hair get hunted down by a breathing-heavy psycho in a milk jug mask."
In Don't Litter in Prospect Park!!, a trio of idiotic greasers attempts to "toughen up" the park by dumping trash all over it. But they've made one big mistake: Spencer is watching. Once a proud park volunteer, Spencer snaps after witnessing a littering crime of passion, transforming into a trash-fueled maniac who brings absurd, over-the-top horror to anyone disrespecting nature.
Equal parts campy horror and anti-littering PSA, the short film is cathartic, clever, and perfect Earth Day viewing for anyone who's ever screamed internally at someone leaving a takeout container on a bench.
Wells, whose work often blends the surreal, the satirical, and the socially conscious, says the film is a love letter to Prospect Park—and a warning to anyone who treats it like a dumping ground.
Logline: A trio of greasers attempts a sadistic takeover of Prospect Park to make it more mean. Little do they know, an obsessively anti-littering madman lurks in the woods, preying on them.
Tagline: You litter, you die!
Don't Litter in Prospect Park!! is now available to stream on YouTube. Bring your popcorn—and take your trash with you.
