ESC Examines the Hidden Cost of In-House Adjuster Onboarding and how insurance organizations can protect senior staff capacity
CLERMONT, Fla. - s4story -- Educational Services & Consulting invite insurance trainers to register for ESC's upcoming complimentary webinar scheduled for November 17, 2026 from 12:30pm – 1pm, EST.
"In-house training plays an important role in developing organizational knowledge and culture," Natalie Zimmerman, co-owner and chief strategy officer at ESC said. "The opportunity is to make sure your most experienced employees are spending their time on the training that only they can provide, rather than duplicating foundational licensing education that can be delivered through an accredited education partner."
In this upcoming webinar, the discussion will focus on staff time involved in training new adjusters, how accredited coursework can complement institutional knowledge, and how organizations can offload licensing education while maintaining quality control and organization-specific training. Attendees will also hear more about ESC's Florida-approved 6-20 Accredited Claims Adjuster course and how this training course can help training departments be more efficient. ESC's 40 hours online, self-paced course covers insurance terminology and concepts, auto insurance, residential and commercial property insurance, commercial general liability, ethics, negotiation and communication skills.

Training a new claims adjuster requires more than wages, benefits and training materials. It also requires a significant investment of time from the experienced employees responsible for helping new hires learn the business.
Educational Services & Consulting (ESC) is exploring that often-overlooked cost in its latest article, "The Hidden Cost of Onboarding a New Adjuster In-House (And What Your Senior Staff Could Be Doing Instead)." The article examines how insurance organizations can structure onboarding so accredited licensing education and organization-specific training complement one another.
Zimmerman expressed "Experienced adjusters and supervisors bring valuable institutional knowledge to the onboarding process. They understand an organization's claims philosophy, systems, workflows, escalation procedures, customer expectations and quality standards. Our new article explores how protecting time for those conversations can help organizations make better use of their most experienced employees."

An additional highlight within the article examines the relationship between licensing and time-to-productivity. Self-paced education allows employees to begin licensing coursework as part of onboarding without waiting for a scheduled classroom session. Eligible students who successfully complete the approved course and ESC's final exam can proceed with the Florida licensing process without taking the additional state licensing examination.
