S For Story/10269722
NEW YORK - Sept. 14, 2016 - s4story -- The Editorial Freelancers Association will be exhibiting at the Brooklyn Book Festival on Sunday, Sept. 18. The Brooklyn Book Festival is the largest free literary event in New York City, and the EFA will be among the 200 leaders in books and literature who are participating in this year's festival.
"The Brooklyn Book Festival is a fantastic community event that showcases New York's diverse literary past and present," says Lindsey Alexander, the EFA's Events Subcommittee chairperson. "We always look forward to attending Brooklyn Book Festival and bringing editors together with authors, publishers and book lovers."
"Hundreds of visitors—including literary superstars, up-and-coming writers, experienced and would-be editors, and even a few adorable toddlers clutching picture books—stopped by our booth at last year's Brooklyn Book Festival," says Ruth Mullen, co-coordinator of the EFA's NYC Metro chapter. "Attending the festival each year increases our visibility and makes festival-goers aware of the great things the EFA's diverse membership can do for them."

The EFA will be in Booth 316, near the intersection of Montague and Court Streets and Cadman Plaza West. This year marks the fourth time the EFA is taking part in the Brooklyn Book Festival.
Founded in 1970, the EFA is a national nonprofit professional organization with over 2,500 members, including writers, editors, copy editors, proofreaders, indexers, translators and others who work in publishing, communications and related fields. "EFA members can provide every editorial skill that is necessary throughout the publication process to provide a finished product of top quality," says Bill Keenan, EFA co-executive.
