BATLEY, U.K. - s4story -- Twelve months after opening at The Mill Outlet in Batley, Eliyana Café & Lounge is celebrating a first year that has seen the independent venue evolve far beyond its original concept.

Opening in September 2025 on the former site of Hannah's Tea Room, Eliyana has developed into a welcoming daytime café open to everyone, an 18+ evening lounge and a flexible venue for private events and celebrations.

During the day, customers can enjoy breakfast, brunch and lunch alongside familiar café favourites, freshly prepared dishes, artisan coffee, teas, freshly baked scones, cakes and desserts. Sundays bring something extra with Eliyana's popular halal Sunday Roasts.

As evening arrives, Eliyana transforms into a relaxed mixed 18+ lounge offering food, desserts, handcrafted mocktails and premium shisha.

The venue has also become a popular setting for birthdays, family celebrations, private parties and community events, with flexible catering and private-hire options available.

The first year has brought plenty of memorable moments. An Eliyana English Breakfast video reached almost 50,000 views on TikTok, bringing customers from outside The Mill specifically to experience the café. The venue has also hosted major community gatherings, including a car meet attracting around 150 cars, enthusiasts and families.

"When we opened, virtually nobody knew we were here. The first year has been about listening to our customers, learning, adapting and continually improving Eliyana.

"We've welcomed people from across the area, celebrated special occasions with families and watched first-time visitors become regulars. We're incredibly grateful for the support we've received — but we still feel we're only getting started."

And there is plenty more planned.

New dishes, events, private bookings and further developments are already in the pipeline for Eliyana's second year.

The team is keeping particularly quiet about one or two developments happening behind the scenes — although visitors may notice the cameras rolling around Eliyana a little more often in the months ahead.

Eliyana is located on the first-floor terrace above the Garden Centre at The Mill Outlet, Bradford Road, Batley, with free on-site parking.
