Ernie Chiara Joins Fuse Literary as Associate Agent
S For Story/10463327
SAN FRANCISCO - s4story -- Fuse Literary, the literary agency that focuses on technology, innovation, and expansion of storytelling into new media to augment the strengths of traditional publishing, today announced the hiring of Ernie Chiara as an Associate Agent at the firm.
Partner and agency co-founder, Laurie McLean, said of Chiara, "Ernie has been very impressive at every stage of his time with Fuse Literary. He has a good eye for compelling fiction, and I can't wait to see what he accomplishes in his new role with the agency."
Ernie joined the Fuse Literary team first as a writer, signing on as a client with Michelle Richter. Then, when his interest in the business grew, Ernie gained experience as an Assistant Agent under the guidance of Tricia Skinner. Now, having come full circle, Ernie is proud to be building his own list as an Associate Agent.
Agent Tricia Skinner said, "Writers gain a wonderful champion in Ernie. He's been committed to the writing community for years, and now he's in a position to put all that energy behind his own clients. I'm happy to call him a colleague."

Ernie has served as Communications Director for Pitch Wars, a writer mentorship program, where he was also a Mentor in the Adult category. He has over 20 years of experience in business management and graphic design.
"It's important to me to help raise voices from within marginalized communities. Every writer has a story to tell, and no one's lived experience or unique perspective should preclude them from sharing stories that come from a place of truth. I'd especially like to see writers whose characters share their marginalization, with full and riveting stories steeped in peoples or histories that are traditionally under-represented in their genres," Chiara said.
In his free time, Ernie enjoys painting, wailing away on his drum kit, and playing with his three amazing kids. As an agent, Ernie is primarily seeking adult science fiction, fantasy and magical realism. You can learn more about Ernie at erniechiara.com.
