Father and daughter bring Augmented Reality to Classic Horror Books

Indie Publisher Augmented Classics, today launch a collection of 5 Augmented Reality Gothic Classics where the book covers come to life using any Smartphone!
SOUTHPORT, U.K. - s4story -- Father and daughter team Nik and Harriet Maguire founded Augmented Classics (augmentedclassics.com) during the lockdown. Harriet (21), an avid lover of fiction and her father Nik (48), a mobile technologist and author decided to combine their passions to create Augmented Classics.
With any smartphone placed over the cover, you can watch: Bats fly off the cover of Dracula; See Dorian Grays' portrait decay before your eyes; Witness the Phantoms mask fly through the Paris Opera house to reveal the horrors below; Hear the incredible machine give life to Frankenstein's monster and experience the terror of Dr. Jekyll transforming into Mr. Hyde.
A sizeable number of social media book influencers or "booktubers" have rallied in support of this 'novel idea' lending their support with book quotes, writing forewords, and sharing posts to their community. One booktuber @emmie.reads (a literary student in Canada) who has 170,000 followers was "so excited" that she willingly wrote a 1500 word foreword for Phantom of the Opera.

Harriet Maguire, co-founder of Augmented Classics said "With so many millennials preferring to scroll on their phones rather than flick through book pages, we hope to bring the experience and entertainment of social media to printed books."
Nik Maguire, co-founder of Augmented Classics said "It was important we made the Augmented Reality experience as simple as possible, you don't need to download an app to enjoy the experience. We believe Augmented Reality will play a larger part in our everyday lives over the coming years as the new Metaverse develops."
About Augmented Classics The 5 launch titles: Dracula, Frankenstein, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde and Phantom of the Opera are available from 1st September exclusively on Amazon. Visit http://www.augmentedclassics.com
