Follow the Evolution of Conservation with the Former Director of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service

S For Story/10600240
WASHINGTON - s4story -- Jan-Carol Publishing, Inc., of Blountville, Tennessee, is proud to announce the nationwide release of Compelled: From the Yazoo Pumps to Polar Bears and Back: The Evolution of Natural Resource Conservation and Law, by H. Dale Hall.

H. Dale Hall has over 45 years of natural resource conservation experience. He worked his way up to become Director of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, then CEO of Ducks Unlimited, Inc. He was named Conservationist of the Year twice, and received formal commendations from the governors of three states. Throughout Hall's career, he realized he wanted to document for his children the challenges of his life as well as the evolution of natural resource conservation he was privileged to experience. Upon retirement, Hall began writing a book to capture both his personal family history and that of conservation from the 1960s to the present. Eventually, Hall realized how large that book was becoming, so he pulled all the personal family history out and published his autobiography, My Appalachian Trail, earlier this year. Compelled is the next piece in Hall's story.

More on S For Story
Compelled is a chronicle of H. Dale Hall's career but focuses on the conservation issues he personally worked on. They include, but aren't limited to, the Clean Water Act, the Endangered Species Act, his involvement working on the agreements for operation of the Missouri, Colorado, and the Sacramento-San Joaquin rivers, his rise to become Director of the Fish and Wildlife Service and, most importantly, the people he worked with on these issues. H. Dale Hall interviewed 19 people he worked with along the line to make sure his records and memory were accurate. Compelled tells the story of the evolution of natural resource conservation over the past 40 years, and how involving the public became critical to finding solutions to natural resource issues.

Compelled: From the Yazoo Pumps to Polar Bears and Back: The Evolution of Natural Resource Conservation and Law is available on Amazon and Barnes&Noble.com.
