BOCA RATON, Fla. - s4story -- (Boca Raton, FL – May 27, 2020) Debbie Abrams, president of the Gold Coast PR Council (GCPRC), South Florida's largest independent association of public relations, communications and marketing professionals, today announced the list of this year's Bernays Awards nominees. GCPRC have given out these awards since 2005 honoring excellence in local public relations campaigns, marketing programs, and media coverage.
The honors will be presented at the 15th annual Bernays Awards Luncheon on Tuesday, July 21, at the Delray Beach Golf Club, 2200 Highland Avenue 33445. This will be GCPRC's first in-person meeting since February due to the Covid pandemic.
GCPRC will present Bernays Awards in 13 categories, nine of which are competitive and four selected by the nonprofit organization's board of directors.
Only one award is ever announced in advance, GCPRC's prestigious Presidents Award, which is given to a person or organization for truly outstanding performance. This year's Presidents Award goes to Sandy Collier of Hey Sandy! PR & Communications in Wellington for her amazing work on behalf of evacuees from The Islands Of The Bahamas following the deadly and destructive ravages of Hurricane Dorian, including organizing a special dinner and breakfast to help ease their agonizing stress.
