Google & YouTube Get Sued for Foreign Interference, Fraud, & Discrimination
S For Story/10390520
YouTuber, author Bob Lewis is suing Google and YouTube for civil rights discrimination, fraud, & challenges section 230 of the communications decently act as unconstitutional. His suit was filed on August 22, 2019 in federal court in Denver Colorado. The suit alleges Google and YouTube collaborate with foreign governments to enforce hate speech laws on United States citizens who reside on U.S. soil, violating American civil rights law.
DENVER - s4story -- Since the 2016 presidential election, Americans have been deeply concerned about foreign interference in federal elections and civil rights abuses by big tech. According to Mr. Lewis' lawsuit, Google and YouTube act in joint collaboration with foreign governments, including China and European Union Countries law enforcement agencies, to enforce foreign hate speech laws on United States citizens who reside on U.S. soil, that post content on Google and Youtube's platforms. Google and YouTube, according to Lewis, appointed these foreign governments as "Trusted Flaggers" for YouTube.com and Google online properties to censor Americans constitutionally protected speech, including Mr. Lewis' YouTube channel, Misandry Today.

The recent Project Veritas leaks showed Google and YouTube maintain hidden blacklists and artificially promote certain videos and websites, as well as demote others. The lawsuit alleges Google and YouTube's process of artificially promoting websites and videos defrauds advertisers, by virtue of overcharging advertisers for product placement and fraudulently increased views. Additionally, the suit alleges when Google and YouTube artificially demotes websites and videos, in effect "shadow banning" them, this defrauds websites and YouTube video producers, including Lewis, of lawfully earned revenue, which is based on website and video views. Lewis alleges this is fraud, because Google and YouTube, even before Congress, adamantly deny they maintain blacklists or artificially promote or demote content.
Lewis also challenges section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, because it explicitly allows big tech companies to censor constitutionally protected material, in direct violation of the First Amendment of the United States Constitution, which bars Congress from enacting any law that abridges the freedom of speech. This also means that the Attorney General of the United States may enter this suit as an interested party.
