Goosechase Powers NYC's Citywide Scavenger Hunt
S For Story/10705044
The interactive experience platform is powering NYC's five-borough hunt for the Mayor's Office of Mass Engagement on October 11
NEW YORK - s4story -- After last year's wildly successful NYC scavenger hunt, Mayor Zohran Mamdani and his team are at it again. This time, it's running on Goosechase, the platform behind over one million interactive experiences worldwide. Announced last week by the Mayor's Office of Mass Engagement (OME), the hunt on Sunday, October 11th, will send thousands of New Yorkers across the five boroughs to explore the city's history of organizing, with every challenge to be completed on Goosechase.
A wild goose chase through New York City
Teams will play on the Goosechase app, where each Mission is tied to a person, place, or time when New Yorkers organized to change their neighborhoods. Players will earn points for every photo snapped, video recorded, and trivia question answered, with a leaderboard updating live as teams flock across the city. When the clock runs out, the 100 top-scoring teams will unlock a final Mission, plus an invite to a celebration that night.

"On a campus, in a museum, or across an entire city, a scavenger hunt has the same purpose: to get people to look up and engage with the world around them," said Andrew Cross, Co-Founder and CEO of Goosechase. "We're proud that Goosechase is helping New Yorkers get out, invest in their neighborhoods, and discover the stories that shaped them."
Selected teams will be on the chase from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 11, with a rain date of October 18 in case of inclement weather. Details are at organize.nyc.gov/scavengerhunt.
