S For Story/10673939
~ In a recent proclamation, Governor Greg Abbott declared October 3-10, 2025 as Manufacturing Week in Texas. The governor praised the strength of the state's manufacturing sector and its significant role in driving economic growth, fostering innovation, and creating job opportunities for Texans.
According to Governor Abbott, the "Made in Texas" brand has never been more powerful thanks to the contributions of manufacturers. He emphasized that it represents freedom, opportunity, and innovation that can only be found in Texas. As the manufacturing capital of the nation, Texas is where today's products are made and tomorrow's technologies are brought to life.
The governor also highlighted the crucial role of Texas manufacturers in the state's economy, which is currently valued at over $2.7 trillion and ranks as the eighth largest economy in the world. He noted that with a strong manufacturing industrial base and workforce, Texas continues to set records for job growth. In fact, in the second quarter of 2025 alone, the state's economy expanded by 6.8%.
