Gulf Coast Village to host July 23 community celebration and ribbon-cutting
S For Story/10697762
CAPE CORAL, Fla. - s4story -- To celebrate the completion of a year-long exterior renovation, Gulf Coast Village will host a ribbon-cutting and community celebration at 11 a.m. on July 23 that features food trucks and live music.
Since opening its doors in 1989, Gulf Coast Village – Cape Coral's only life plan community – has weathered some of Southwest Florida's most challenging and devastating hurricanes, providing safe shelter for all residents and staff. Despite many storms, the community has never flooded or been required to evacuate residents in advance of a storm.
Upgrades to Gulf Coast Village's independent living apartments include hurricane-resistant windows and doors, as well as exterior enhancements that give the campus a fresh, modern appearance while preserving the community's signature warm, welcoming environment. The renovation further strengthens Gulf Coast Village's commitment to residents' safety and comfort.
"The completion of our community's renovations marks the start of a new chapter for Gulf Coast Village," said Sarah Richard, executive director of Gulf Coast Village. "The safety and happiness of our residents is always our top priority, and these renovations will ensure that our residents remain protected and comfortable for years to come."
