STRATFORD, Conn. - s4story -- For nearly three decades, TaShun Bowden-Lewis, Esq. stood at the intersection of justice, leadership, and public service—helping shape a legal system grounded in fairness, accountability, and respect for the communities it serves. Bowden-Lewis devoted almost 30 years to the Connecticut Division of Public Defender Services, where she earned a reputation as a disciplined advocate and transformative leader committed to principled service.

She has also spent nearly two decades mentoring students as an Associate Professor at Post University in Waterbury, Connecticut, helping prepare the next generation of legal and civic leaders.

Her contributions have been widely recognized across the legal community. In 2023, she was named a James W. Cooper Fellow of the Connecticut Bar Foundation, and in 2024 she received the Edwin Archer Diversity Award from Lawyers Collaborative for Diversity.
