Honoring ten outstanding immigrant leaders, the Immigrant Journey Awards Gala highlights the powerful contributions of DFW's immigrant community in entrepreneurship, professional excellence, advocacy, and community service.
DALLAS - s4story -- Immigrant Journey Awards program proudly celebrates the powerful stories and accomplishments of the Dallas-Fort Worth area's influential immigrant leaders and advocates. Presented by Badmus & Associates and sponsors, the program also celebrates Immigrant Heritage Month in June.
This year, seven distinguished individuals are being recognized for their extraordinary contributions to the social and economic vitality of North Texas. Through categories such as Immigrant Entrepreneur, Immigrant Professional Excellence, Immigrant Spirit, and Immigrant Advocate, the awards spotlight the achievements of immigrants who are making a meaningful difference every day.
"The 2026 Immigrant Journey Awards honorees represent ten distinct stories, from healthcare and entrepreneurship to advocacy and public service, all unfolding right here in the Dallas-Fort Worth community," said Ann Massey Badmus, founder of Badmus & Associates and creator of the Immigrant Journey Awards. "What strikes me every year is not just what these individuals have achieved, but how much of what they've built belongs to all of us."

Immigrant Entrepreneur Award: Alfredo Duarte, Betty Arguello, Mohan Gyawali Chhetri
Immigrant Professional Excellence Award: Dr. Giselle Kabwe, Dr. Raul Vintimilla, Mitt Mehta
Immigrant Advocate Award: Ana Coca, Dallas College
Immigrant Spirit Award: Dragana Pavlesic, Namitha Nayak
These remarkable community, business, and professional leaders will be recognized at the 2026 Immigrant Journey Awards Gala, taking place on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at the Communities Foundation of Texas in Dallas.
Guests will enjoy an inspiring evening filled with cultural celebration, live entertainment, and an opportunity to hear from the honorees themselves.
