The common thread across both submissions is an emphasis on unconventional but testable engineering approaches.

Guarino's second Awardable designation followed with MTCR‑119, a toroidal resonator architecture using a 119‑element phased system, anti‑periodic field boundary conditions, and recursive phase‑control logic. For MTCR‑119, both evaluators rated "Advancing the State of the Art" as Outstanding. One evaluator noted that its "anti‑periodic boundary conditions, multi‑pass closure, and a self‑monitoring coherence metric constitute a specific proposed method rather than a generic field‑effect assertion."

MTCR‑119 remains a concept‑stage, pre‑prototype design, with proposed performance figures treated as test targets rather than completed hardware measurements.
