Summary: Partnering with the Canadian Association of Journalists, Investintech.com launches its fourth annual Investintech-CAJ Data Journalism Scholarship.
TORONTO - s4story -- Investintech.com, the developers of Able2Extract, proudly announces the launch of its fourth annual Investintech-CAJ Data Journalism Scholarship.
Held in partnership with the Canadian Association of Journalists (CAJ), the goal of the scholarship is to help post-secondary students who are interested in journalism.
A selection jury made up of experienced data journalists will review all submissions according to journalistic guidelines and standards.
Investintech.com will award the student with a one-time cash prize of $1,000 CAD, and receive a free one year CAJ membership and a free pass to summer data school at the University of King's College in Halifax in June 2023.
The award will go to a Canadian student whose submission shows an insight and understanding of the journalism industry.

- Pursuing a course of studies or program leading to a diploma, undergraduate or graduate degree.
- Non-journalism program students must demonstrate their interest in journalistic work.
- Currently accepted to or enrolled in a Canadian college or university.
Submissions must include:
- An example of a work of journalism showing the application of data skills and tools.
- An explanation of what you did, how you did it, how the data was compiled, and the resources used. If the work is created as a team, you must provide details about your contribution and show proof of work.
- At least one data visualization produced by the student.
- Follow all requirements; complete all details
- Entries must be in English or French
- Minimum word count for written parts: 500
- Creativity, style, coherence, readability
- Effective use of data, visualizations and medium used
- Sources linked to back claims; strength of the topic and the work
