Invopak unveils new Eco-UN packaging range
S For Story/10660837
Invopak, a leading supplier and manufacturer of rigid packaging, has recently introduced 10, 20 and 25 litre stackable jerry cans to their Eco-UN range.
COVENTRY, U.K. - s4story -- Made from 30% recycled plastic, the new products are UN-certified for the transportation of hazardous goods, making them ideal for coatings, chemicals, and pharmaceutical businesses.
There are unique challenges to making UN certified packaging from recycled plastic. UN products must pass rigorous testing and meet the highest quality standards. The 70/30 mix of virgin and recycled plastic of the Eco-UN cans provides the perfect blend of sustainability and strength.
The new line is an important step for sustainable packaging, as Elise Wilkes, Procurement Lead at Invopak, explains, "Businesses that need UN-approved packaging can now choose a more sustainable option that doesn't compromise quality. Our new stackable jerry cans are made from 30% recycled plastic, so there's no plastic tax to pay, which is a real benefit, especially given the rate at which environmental taxes are increasing."
More on S For Story
Given the size of the global jerry can market, utilising more recycled plastic is essential for the sector. Demand for the packaging is projected to increase from USD 3.13 billion in 2024 to USD 4.2 billion by 2032, according to the latest market research. Incorporating recycled plastic within the product cycle will be central to making this most practical of packaging containers more sustainable.
Invopak's Eco-UN jerry cans (https://invopak.co.uk/collections/recycled-plastic-jerry-cans?sort_by=manual&filter.p.m.custom.un_approved=Yes) are manufactured in the UK, which means they have a lower carbon footprint than imported goods, while also supporting British industry. They are made from a single material type, HDPE, so the cans can easily be recycled, further boosting their eco-credentials. It's another step in the right direction for practical sustainable packaging.
