S For Story/10706455
The Honolulu-based nonprofit research group now offers a free email briefing on public safety, emergency preparedness and security policy for island and coastal communities.
HONOLULU - s4story -- HONOLULU, Oct. 26, 2026 -- The Island Security Policy Institute (ISPI), a nonpartisan nonprofit research group based in Honolulu, has launched the Island Security Brief, a free email newsletter for emergency managers, public safety officials, policymakers and researchers who work on island and coastal security.
The newsletter gathers ISPI's new research in one place, including white papers, policy briefs and explainers on topics such as disaster preparedness, maritime enforcement and regional security in the Pacific. Readers can subscribe at https://buttondown.com/ispiglobal. Signups use a confirmation email, so only readers who confirm receive issues.
The launch follows the debut of the Island Security Monitor, ISPI's recurring roundup of developments affecting island security, available at https://ispiglobal.com/island-security-monitor. Recent ISPI analysis includes a review of illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing in the Pacific and where enforcement breaks down.
