ITN Publishing Announces the Forthcoming Release of Modern Psalms by Pastor and Poet Ken Hinkley
S For Story/10693637
LAWRENCE, Kan. - s4story -- ITN Publishing is honored to announce the upcoming release of Modern Psalms, a heartfelt new poetry collection by longtime pastor and writer Ken Hinkley. Rooted in Scripture and shaped by decades of ministry, Modern Psalms invites readers into a quiet, contemplative space where faith, emotion, and honest reflection meet.
For generations, the biblical psalms have offered comfort, worship, and encouragement in both dark times and those filled with joy. In Modern Psalms, Hinkley continues that tradition—drawing from his own walk with God to craft poems that echo the intimacy, longing, and devotion found in Scripture.
"Each psalmist wrote from a deep relationship with God," Hinkley reflects. "I cannot pretend to be on their spiritual level, but my relationship with God is certainly my source of inspiration. My hope is that as you read and meditate on each poem, you will feel the presence and power of God in your own life."
More on S For Story
Through themes of doubt, joy, loneliness, perseverance, and hope, Modern Psalms offers readers a companion for life's quiet and complicated moments. Each poem is paired with Scripture, creating a devotional rhythm that encourages worship, reflection, and renewed trust in Christ.
"In these pages, you will find honest verse with Scripture to capture the struggles we face, the hopes we carry, and the small victories that keep us moving forward in our Savior, Jesus Christ," Hinkley writes. "May these poems offer solace, understanding, and gentle reminders that your emotions are valid and shared."
About the Author
Ken Hinkley has served small rural churches in western Maine for more than thirty years, shepherding congregations with humility, compassion, and a deep love for God's Word. A lifelong lover of books, he has written numerous short stories and poems. He also enjoys working with his hands through various craft mediums. Ken and his wife, Linda, are parents to three grown children and now reside in Oklahoma to be closer to family.
