Jake Petruska To Release American Twilight October 31
S For Story/10703225
Singer-songwriter Jake Petruska will release his new album, American Twilight, on October 31, 2026, through Eurisko Records.
FORT MYERS, Fla. - s4story -- Singer-songwriter Jake Petruska will release his new album, American Twilight, on October 31, 2026, through Eurisko Records.
Blending heartland rock, cinematic Americana, classic pop, and roots music, American Twilight is more than a collection of songs. It is an interconnected world of late-night diners, neon boardwalks, faded motels, ghosts, lost lovers, working families, strange creatures, old wounds, and people still searching for their way home.
At the center of the album is the Twilight Diner, a glowing roadside refuge somewhere between memory and possibility. Its visitors arrive carrying grief, regret, love, loneliness, addiction, hope, and unfinished business. Some are entirely human. Others may not be.
Across the record, Petruska moves between personal experience and American mythology. BOARDWALK returns to the neon-lit Jersey Shore of his youth. SUNSHINE GIRL celebrates unexpected companionship. NEXT LIFE captures the tenderness and exhaustion of a relationship reaching its end. THE JERSEY DEVIL turns New Jersey folklore into a weary roadside traveler, while DISAPPEAR confronts grief and the permanence of loss. VELVET RAGE, a miniature opera in three parts, explores shame, masculinity, survival, performance, and self-acceptance.

The title track brings the album's central idea into focus:
We are not done, we are not finished.
We are more than what we've lost.
That sentiment sits at the heart of American Twilight: survival not as easy triumph, but as the decision to keep creating, loving, remembering, and moving forward after life has taken something from us.
Musically, the album features Rickenbacker guitars, acoustic 12-string, Hammond organ, melodic bass, live drums, saxophone, harmonica, and atmospheric textures. The production favors warmth, character, and human imperfection over polish for its own sake.
"It's about people carrying things," Petruska says. "Loss, memory, mistakes, hope — whatever they couldn't leave behind. The record isn't interested in saying everything works out perfectly. It's interested in that little bit of light that keeps people moving anyway."

The visual world surrounding American Twilight expands the story through moonlit coastlines, vintage diners, roadside folklore, stop-motion characters, neon signs, and physical "artifacts" connected to the album's mythology.
American Twilight will be officially released October 31, 2026.
