LOS ANGELES - Oct. 6, 2016 - s4story -- In a patriotic tribute to the United States of America military, Kandy Magazine announced today the release of its 5-year anniversary issue with actress Nikki Leigh on the cover.

Photographed against the aviation backdrop of aircraft and military vehicles used in historical wars, Nikki Leigh's 16-page tribute spans 85 years of American military history. In her exclusive Kandy interview, Nikki comments on the conceptualization of the photo shoot, "When we were talking about the shoot I remembered that 2016 was the 75th Anniversary of the USO; that is what made me want to do this. I wanted to show military appreciation."

The various aircraft and military vehicles used in the photo shoot date back to 1930. "It was really amazing to me that we were able to be around real life bomber planes and cargo planes that were used in historical events. It gave me a whole new respect for our history," Nikki Leigh remarks.

"Not only were we very fortunate to gain access to legendary aircraft such as the B-17 Flying Fortress and B-29 Superfortress used in World War II, as well as helicopters used in the Vietnam War, but the location had military outfits which provided timeless authenticity to one of the photo sets," states Kandy magazine Editor in Chief Ron Kuchler.
