Lehi Resident Jill Armijo's Book, Home of the Unknown Soldier, Chosen for Top 10 Award
S For Story/10437321
Lehi, Utah - "Home of the Unknown Soldier," by Jill Armijo has been selected to compete in final round of the 2020 Author Elite Academy Award against nine other authors, distinguished for literary merit and publishing excellence .
LEHI, Utah - s4story -- Jill's book has advanced to the top ten in the Memoir category, revealing the heartbreaking and triumphant story of her fight to keep her veteran husband safe and off the streets. He experienced the onset of schizophrenia following Gulf War trauma, and was denied help by the VA or through medical intervention, both of which provided few answers, and little help as he nearly bled to death while tormented by delusions and physical pain.
Hundreds of books by authors across the globe competed for this final round of judging and are slated to submit 90-second videos to be viewed by a world-wide audience on October 23 at the Red Carpet Session during the annual conference, which will be held virtually in 2020.
Authors of indie (self-published), traditional, or collaborative-published books are considered for awards in sixteen categories. Entries are reviewed and evaluated on popular vote, social contribution, and overall presentation (cover, content, flow, and originality) by the Academy's voting membership of best-selling authors, literary agents and industry leaders.
