PALM COAST, Fla. - s4story -- The Annual 2024 Florida Authors and Publishers Association President's Book Awards has recognized Harry and the Hurricane by Dr. Robert A. Ernst, a Palm Coast resident. He is  a winner of two FAPA President's gold medals in the categories of Middle Grades Fiction and Children's Chapter Book. This prestigious national award is open to books published between 2023 and 2024. The judges for this national competition are librarians, educators, and publishing professionals.

Harry and the Hurricane, is the fifth book in the Dr. Bob's Tales series of children's chapter books with illustrations, published by Discoveries Publishing, LLC. "It was inspiring how everyone pitched in to help save the Town Hall, to aid the visitors from Florida and to deal with the hurricane. The book underscores the importance of friendship, teamwork and ingenuity to succeed in any quest," said author Dr. Robert "Bob" Ernst. "It's a great honor for Harry and the Hurricane to be considered one of the top books in these categories in the U.S. - I just love to delight children as well as adults with great stories and relatable characters ," added Dr. Bob.

He started his writing career just seven years ago after a long career as an orthodontist, and at 85 years old, is working on his sixth  book.
