S For Story/10471401
PROVIDENCE, R.I. - s4story -- PROVIDENCE, RI – Women's Fund of Rhode Island is pleased to announce that Kelly Nevins, Chief Executive Officer, has been selected as a fellow for the prestigious Women Leaders for the World (WLW) program. The 12 month fellowship is a transformational leadership training, coaching and advising fellowship for women leaders solving some of the world's most intractable problems in nonprofits, social entrepreneurship, media, politics/government, and business. It is designed to empower women leaders to harness their powers of creativity and connection, transforming their local impact into waves of global change.
In endorsing Nevins as a candidate for the program, Elizabeth Barajas-Roman, President and CEO of the Women's Funding Network, had this to say, "(Her) work and insights were key to increasing the resilience and capacity of our network. Ms. Nevins has made a lasting impact in her state that will improve the lives of over half a million women."
Women's Fund of Rhode Island Board President, Bev Wiley, noted "The recent pandemic, economic crisis, and renewed awareness around racial inequities have tested Kelly's leadership skills. She did not miss a beat and the organization is thriving as a result. Through participation in this fellowship, I have no doubt that Kelly will be able to bring WFRI to even higher achievements."
