**Innovative Camera Trapping:* Using remote cameras placed throughout his valley property, Toft captures intimate portraits of shy and secretive animals as they go about their daily lives. This technique, familiar to Toft from his work with National Geographic, offers unique and eye-catching images that are rarely seen.
**Local Wildlife** Featuring over 128 pages of stunning photographs, the book showcases a wide array of animals, from coyotes and rattlesnakes to mountain lions and golden eagles. Each chapter begins with beautiful colored drawings by artist Caroline Smith, illustrating the locations of the camera traps and the animals that frequent those areas.
**Community Collaboration** Toft's book also highlights the efforts of local organizations such as the Ramona Grasslands, Project Wildlife, and Hawk Watch, celebrating their contributions to wildlife conservation and education.
