s4story -- Luxury Tours Switzerland, a boutique Swiss destination management company, introduced three private Basel itineraries running from one to five days, built for travellers and advisors who have until now treated the city as an afternoon between trains.

Each itinerary is private and fully guided, planned around the traveller's own dates and interests and organised end to end, from the first conversation to the final transfer.

• Basel in a Day walks the UNESCO-listed old town with a local guide, taking in Marktplatz and the red sandstone Town Hall, the Spalentor gate, the university quarter, heritage pastries at Gilgen, and the tethered wooden ferry across the Rhine.
• Basel and the Countryside in 3 Days adds Gempen Tower, the Roman site at Augusta Raurica, Wildenstein Castle, and the farming village of Oltingen, then crosses into Alsace for Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg, Riquewihr, and Colmar.
• 5 Days in Basel, Bern and Lucerne extends the journey to Bern's Zytglogge, a private tasting in the Three-Lakes wine region, a private lake cruise below Mount Pilatus, and a day in the Alps.
