MacArthur's Trinity Leighow Earns National Honor Society Induction, 5A All-District Nod in Same Week
S For Story/10694552
LAWTON, Okla. - s4story -- The same week Trinity Leighow earned First Team All-District honors from the Oklahoma Soccer Coaches Association, she was inducted into the National Honor Society. Most freshmen don't get one of those, Leighow got both.
The MacArthur High School freshman carries a 4.0 GPA while starting at right back on a varsity squad that reached the Class 5A state semifinals. She earned the Academic Letter M Award, the MacArthur Renaissance Award and the Varsity Sports Letter M Award — a stack of honors that spans the hallway and the field in equal measure. MacArthur's girls soccer team also won the 5A Academic State Championship, which perfectly displays a team-level distinction that tracks with the culture Leighow operates in.
"My parents had extremely high standards for my brother and I, and we continue to exceed those," Leighow said.
Those standards show up in places most recruiting profiles don't reach. Leighow is active in FFA, where she earned both the Creed Award and the Livestock Judging Award. She's also a member of Partner's Club and participates in Unified Sports.

On the pitch, the production kept pace. Leighow recorded 141 steals as a freshman defender… a number that earned her Newcomer of the Year from MacArthur's coaching staff and a First Team All-District selection from the coaches association.
As for what's next, the recruiting conversation around Leighow continues to grow. Her defensive instincts and her foot speed are both a head turner for coaches at the next level. But it's the academic achievements that makes her the all around package. For now, Leighow enters the off season where she'll attend ID camps in Edmond and Tulsa this summer to continue building her profile ahead of next season. And if past performance is any indication, next season should be even bigger for the star defender.
