TORONTO - s4story -- MaoMao House publishing group announces the release of The Crocodile Choir, a heartfelt social emotional learning picture book, beautifully written by Nico Altamirano and illustrated by Veeona Man, that follows a young crocodile who is made to feel different from everyone else.

Cody is a very peculiar crocodile. He doesn't want to laze around and sleep all day like all of his friends do. In fact, Cody has big dreams. He wants to sing! But nobody wants to sing with him. They laugh and tell him that that's just not what crocodiles do. Maybe they're right. Maybe crocodiles aren't meant to sing...but an unlikely friend helps him find his voice.

Altamirano says about his book, "A story has to make you feel something. It needs to resonate with you in some form to make it relatable and immersive. It needs to engage you so you're invested in the characters, so you see them as more than just  words on the page…I'd love for my book to inspire readers, young and old."

Perfect for families and educators of young children, The Crocodile Choir celebrates the courage to be true to oneself and the power of friendship. Through whimsical illustrations and charming rhymes, children will learn valuable lessons about love, perseverance, and accepting who you are. Additional titles by Altamirano are currently in the works, to be published by MaoMao House.
