Matter Studio Gallery Presented "Evolving Matter," a Pop-Up Exhibition Examining Material Transformation and Contemporary Form
S For Story/10689708
CENTURY CITY, Calif. - s4story -- Matter Studio Gallery welcomed collectors, artists, patrons, and invited guests to the opening reception of "Evolving Matter" on April 9th, 2026. A pop-up exhibition exploring emergence, renewal, and transformation. Presented at the Pavilion at Century Park in Century City, the exhibition offered a compelling contemporary art experience shaped by aesthetic rigor, sensorial atmosphere, and communal exchange.
Elegantly poised between abstraction and embodiment, "Evolving Matter" considers transformation as both a natural force and a profoundly human condition. Through works that engage landscape, gesture, and the abstracted figure, the exhibition reflects on matter as something never fixed, but continuously shifting, responsive, and in a state of becoming. In this way, the presentation invites viewers to meditate on impermanence, renewal, and the poetic instability of form.
Featured artists include Jora Nelstein, Deena Capparelli, Karla Funderburk, Liberty Worth, Hung Viet Nguyen, Joan Scheibel, and Bibi Davidson. Together, their works propose a visual language attuned to movement, resonance, and metamorphosis.
