MOORESTOWN, N.J. - s4story -- Micah U. Buchdahl, an ethics attorney and founder and president of HTMLawyers, a law marketing consultancy, has been elected by the American Bar Association's Board of Governors to serve on the ABA Journal Board of Editors. Mr. Buchdahl's three-year term began at the conclusion of the 2026 ABA Annual Conference and will run through the conclusion of the 2029 Annual Conference.
The appointment was confirmed in a letter from ABA Secretary Marvin S.C. Dang following the Board of Governors' June 2026 meeting.
Buchdahl's appointment to the ABA Journal's editorial board draws on a career that began in journalism. He graduated magna cum laude from Temple University with a B.A. in Journalism and worked as a reporter for The Baltimore Sun before attending law school. That early foundation in reporting and editing has shaped a legal career defined by prolific writing on the business of law.
He has been an active member of the ABA Law Practice Division for more than 25 years, serving in various leadership roles, including chair of the division (2009-10), Section Council member, marketing columnist for Law Practice magazine, and editor in chief of the ABA Law Practice Today webzine. He also served as chair of the ABA Standing Committee on Continuing Legal Education (SCOCLE) from 2015-19. In 2023, Buchdahl received the Samuel S. Smith Award, the highest honor bestowed by the ABA Law Practice Division. Established in 1999 to mark the division's 25th anniversary and named for a founding member and early division chair, the award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated outstanding lifetime achievement in the field of law practice management.
