MityLite Expands U.S. Manufacturing with New Orem Facility, Creating 65 Jobs
S For Story/10689898
OREM, Utah - s4story -- MityLite will begin operations this month at a new manufacturing facility in Orem, Utah, expanding production and creating 65 new jobs.
The expansion brings the company's premium Holsag wooden furniture line to Orem. Located near 400 N. and 1200 W., the facility supports growing demand for high-end craftsmanship while reinforcing MityLite's commitment to quality, durability and American manufacturing.
"This was a difficult decision, and one we had to make quickly," said Kevin McCoy, CEO at MITY, Inc. "Bringing our production to Orem felt like the best move for our business and our team. I'm excited to grow our manufacturing capabilities in Utah. We owe a debt of gratitude to all that made this possible: our teams in Canada and Orem; Orem City; and the state of Utah."
After announcing the shutdown of its Lindsay, Ontario plant in October, the company hired nearly 65 employees through a job fair in January. The event generated strong turnout and allowed for on-the-spot interviews and hiring.

We are grateful to provide 65 new jobs through this project, and we look forward to the positive impact these roles will have on individuals, familiesand the community," aid Jen Richardson, Executive Director of HR for MITY Inc.
About 75 employees in Canada were affected by the transition. MityLite thoughtfully provided one-on-one support, including resume assistance, interview preparation, and job placement guidance.
MityLite will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony April 20 with local and state officials. The event will include a presentation highlighting the transition to the new facility.
