Moor Downs Golf Course Partners With Keeper Goals on New Protective Barrier Netting System
S For Story/10680707
BUTLER, Wis. - s4story -- Moor Downs Golf Course in Waukesha, Wisconsin, recently completed a custom protective barrier netting installation designed to improve safety for nearby businesses while maintaining the integrity and playability of the course. With commercial properties located in close proximity to one of the holes, course officials identified the need for a targeted solution to address mis-hit golf shots leaving the property.
Moor Downs partnered with Keeper Goals to design and install a barrier netting system tailored to the specific layout and surroundings of the course. The system spans 350 feet in length and reaches heights up to 30 feet in key impact areas. Heavy-duty steel posts support high-strength golf netting engineered with a tight mesh size specifically designed to stop golf balls while remaining visually unobtrusive. Post spacing, net tension, and system placement were carefully planned to maximize protection without interfering with play.

"I'm most proud of how seamlessly the net integrates into the course while still delivering the protection the property needed," said John Moynihan, President and Project Manager. "On this project, we were able to place the structure in a way that shields neighboring businesses from mis-hit shots without changing the look or playability of the hole."
The completed installation enhances safety, reduces liability concerns, and reinforces Moor Downs Golf Course's commitment to being a responsible neighbor within the community. The project also highlights Keeper Goals' expertise in designing netting solutions that balance performance, durability, and visual appeal.
