Featuring an expanded story and all-new illustrations, Tami Ullom's thoughtful picture book encourages children to recognize the unique strengths in themselves and others.

MADISON, Ala. - s4story -- Reader's Repose Press has released More Than One Way to Fly: Storybook Edition, a newly reimagined children's picture book by Tami Ullom.

In a snow-covered forest, Charity the Chickadee dances through the sky, her bright song welcoming all.

On the bark below, Amon the Brown Creeper climbs quietly, searching for treasure only he can find. He flies differently. He sees differently.

When a shadow falls across the forest and danger draws near, each bird must rely on what makes them unique.

"More Than One Way to Fly began with a question: How do I help children see beauty in those who move through the world differently?" Ullom said. "The answer came from nature itself. Chickadees and Brown Creepers have different behaviors, abilities, and ways of navigating the same forest."

Although the story may resonate especially with children and families familiar with autism and neurodiversity, its message extends to anyone who has ever felt overlooked, misunderstood, or different from those around them.

The book leaves readers with a simple reminder: You don't have to fly the same way to belong.
