MWSA to Announce 75 Finalists for Its 2026 Book Awards

ORLANDO, Fla. - s4story -- The Military Writers Society of America (MWSA) will announce the 75 finalists for its 2026 book awards during a special video presentation premiering Tuesday, Aug. 11, at 7:30 p.m. Eastern.
The announcement comes after MWSA's all-volunteer reviewer team completed its evaluations of all 130 books submitted for consideration this awards season. The team finished its work ahead of schedule, allowing MWSA to reveal this year's finalists several days earlier than originally planned.
Each of the 75 finalists has earned either a gold, silver, or bronze medal. The specific medal awarded to each finalist will be revealed during MWSA's annual conference and awards banquet, taking place Oct. 22–24 in Orlando, Florida.
The finalists represent a broad range of literary categories and reflect MWSA's mission of honoring outstanding writing about the military, veterans, their families, and the broader experience of service.
