APOPKA, Fla. - s4story -- The Naismith International Basketball Foundation (NIBF) announced a leadership change today, effective immediately. Mr. Mark Armstrong has been removed from his position as Executive Director. The NIBF would like to thank Mr. Armstrong for his contributions to the foundation and wishes him the best in his future endeavors.
The foundation is pleased to announce that Ms. Karen Horry will be joining the NIBF as an Advisor for the Northeastern Region. Ms. Karen Horry brings extensive experience and a deep commitment to the NIBF's core mission of promoting education, sportsmanship, and mental health awareness. Her expertise will be invaluable as the foundation focuses on its new initiatives, including the development of a prestigious new award for student-athletes.
As a veteran of the New York area, Ms. Horry is a priceless asset who will be there to help this come along, working side by side with Executive Director Mr. Cook and future alliances to secure after-school programs and help the community with amazing ideas and fundraisers.
