This marks the first major improvements to the North Road Terminal since it was originally constructed in 1983. The facility is currently home to JSX, which offers scheduled public charter service to White Plains, N.Y., NetJets private jet services and several rental car companies.
Funds for the project derive from airport revenues. Naples Airport receives no local taxpayer support; it is a self-sustaining entity funded primarily through fuel sales, rentals and other related services.
The estimated completion date for Phase II at the North Road Terminal is December 2026.
Contract details and the full project scope are posted online at FlyNaples.com/agendas-minutes-videos (https://www.flynaples.com/agendas-minutes-videos/).
The Dec. 18 board meeting marked the first time new member Michelle Arnold attended. Arnold was appointed to the board earlier this month and will serve a four-year term. At the end of the meeting, Ralph Alberto was sworn in as a new board member to serve a four-year term.
