National Digital Magazine to Spotlight Women Over 50 and Canada's Tourism Economy
S For Story/10686020
TORONTO - s4story -- A new national digital magazine focused on the economic influence and travel power of women over 50 will launch March 20, 2026.
Published quarterly and available free online at Northof50Mag.ca, North of 50 Magazine examines the intersection of mature women, mobility, and Canada's tourism economy.
The publication is an initiative of Secord Strategies, a Canadian consultancy specializing in public policy, economic development, and tourism strategy. The concept was inspired by a cross-Canada journey undertaken by The Honourable Lisa MacLeod and Susan Truppe, which highlighted both the purchasing power of women over 50 and the tourism sector's opportunity to engage them more directly.
Women over 50 represent an estimated $1.3 trillion in economic influence in Canada. They manage household budgets, select brands, make travel bookings, and participate actively in civic life, making them one of the country's most influential yet under-recognized travel demographics.
