ORLANDO, Fla. - May 8, 2019 - s4story -- The ribbon cutting ceremony for Orange Blossom Family Health (OBFH) @ Ivey Lane will be held Friday, May 24, from 9am to 10am. Event speakers will include Mayors Buddy Dyer and Jerry Demings and Commissioners Regina Hill and Victoria Siplin. The event will also include a tour of the new facility, which will offer medical, dental, vision, behavioral health, and pharmacy services. "This new medical facility will be a great resource for residents of the Ivey Lane community and surrounding areas," said Bakari Burns, President & CEO of Orange Blossom Family Health.
"I am grateful for the opening of this new health center, which will expand access to quality health care in the Ivey Lane community. I am particularly proud of the opportunity for further integration of primary care and behavioral health services, which is so necessary to truly address the needs of our patients," said Mr. Burns.
Burns, who has served as CEO of Orange Blossom Family Health for the past 16 years, has long dreamed of opening a health center in the Ivey Lane Community. "I believe that access to quality health care is an important building block that helps our community prosper and grow. I am confident that this health center will help improve the overall health of the community and be a valuable asset that will serve people for years to come." Burns added, "The new Ivey Lane Health Center will increase the organization's capacity to service more patients seeking care, thereby addressing the growing demand for healthcare in Southwest Orlando."
