Pampering for Payton: Galentine's Night to unite women for a cause

S For Story/10684865
SARASOTA, Fla. - s4story -- Women across Sarasota and Manatee counties are invited to the fourth annual Galentine's Night on Thursday, Feb. 26 to support The Payton Wright Foundation.

Sponsored by Advocate Radiation Oncology, MacDonald Watrobsky Group, Gecko's Grill & Pub and The Payton Wright Foundation, attendees will have two hours to enjoy champagne spritzers, appetizers, massages, mini makeovers, shopping opportunities and more.

"Our previous Galentine's events were very popular and sold out, so we moved to a larger venue this year," said Linda Vernon, marketing manager for Advocate locations in Manatee, Sarasota and Charlotte counties. "It's such a fun ladies' night out event, but what makes it so meaningful is the opportunity to support a charitable cause that benefits families as they navigate a very challenging, emotional time in their lives."

Proceeds from Galentine's Night support The Payton Wright Foundation, a Sarasota-based nonprofit that assists families who have children being treated for brain and spinal cord malignancies. Founded in 2008 by Patrick and Holly Wright, the organization honors Payton Wright, a 5-year-old girl who passed away in 2007 after battling medulloepithelioma, a rare form of brain cancer.
