AUSTIN, Texas - s4story -- Pandamoon Publishing has acquired TO KILL A UNICORN by D C Palter, a mystery suspense thriller about the corrupting influence of the billions of dollars of venture capital flooding into Silicon Valley.
"D C Palter is a fantastic addition to our growing community of mystery authors at Pandamoon and we look forward to working with him to bring his intriguing and timely novel to the world," said Zara Kramer, Publisher at Pandamoon Publishing.
"Ted Hara is a brilliant hacker searching for his missing friend, a physicist at SüprDüpr, the hottest unicorn in town, as the startup prepares to unveil its revolutionary technology that will bring them untold riches. Ted becomes trapped in a web of influence protecting the company's glamorous founder and its billionaire investors. He must unearth the evidence to prove the company is covering up the death of its customers while avoiding being killed himself," Kramer added.

DC Palter has been a Silicon Valley entrepreneur and investor for over two decades, but his passion has always been writing. His short fiction has appeared in more than a dozen literary magazines while his articles on technology have been published widely. A fluent Japanese speaker, he is the author of Colloquial Kansai Japanese, (Tuttle Publishing, 3rd Printing 2006), the leading guidebook to the Osaka dialect, and served as the fiction editor of the Abiko Quarterly, the largest English-language literary magazine in Japan. He is also the author of a popular series on startup funding published on Medium and collected on pitchingangels.com. Mr. Palter has earned an MFA in creative writing, an MBA in technology marketing, and a Masters in Law to complement his background in engineering. He currently lives in the Silicon Beach area of Los Angeles where he mentors new startups while writing tech-centric mysteries.
