Planting People Growing Justice Press and Bookstore Partners to Launch Shop Indie Local Campaign
S For Story/10677852
SAINT PAUL, Minn. - s4story -- Saint Paul, Minnesota – Planting People Growing Justice Press and Bookstore will join the
American Independent Business Alliance (AMIBA) to launch their Shop Indie Local
Holiday Campaign, urging individuals and businesses to shift their holiday spending to locally owned and independent businesses. Independent business networks from across the nation have signed on as partners, pledging to organize neighboring businesses around the Shop Indie Local movement.
Every dollar spent at a locally owned and independent business returns 2-4 times more dollars back into a community than a dollar spent at a non-local business. These dollars recirculate through the local economy, building more local jobs and community wealth.
"Shop Indie Local Holiday partners raise awareness around the importance of supporting locally owned businesses," said Jen Risley, AMIBA Director of Operations. "Together, we inspire more of us to shift our holiday spending to independent businesses and amplify the local economy movement throughout North America."

As part of the Shop Indie Local festivities, we are excited to host author book signings and book giveaways on November 1 and December 6.
To make this holiday season even more meaningful, we're launching special holiday book
bundles for children that focus on leadership development and STEM education—perfect for inspiring the next generation of changemakers.
In addition, we're offering a special Leadership Development Book Bundle at 50% off retail for a limited time. These books provide practical professional development tools for career success and organizational development.
"Buying local is integral to building inclusive and vibrant communities. This holiday season, we can make a greater impact in our communities by purchasing items from our neighborhood businesses," said Dr. Artika Tyner, Founder.
