PRIMER: An Avant-Garde Art & Music Experience Launches in Chicago's
River North Design District

CHICAGO, IL — On Saturday, May 31, 2025, PRIMER will debut in Chicago's River North
Design District, presenting a one-night-only collision of contemporary art, live music, and
immersive performance. Housed in a historic timber loft and spilling out onto a sweeping rooftop
deck, PRIMER is a curated sensory experience where visual art and underground soundscapes
converge.
The 2,000 sq ft gallery space will feature a bold mix of mediums including experimental film,
digital sculpture, street art, and painting. Over 15 celebrated alumni from the School of the Art
Institute of Chicago (SAIC) will exhibit their work, taking the evening's artistic vision to new
heights. On-site live painting by Leek O Vision and Brendan Cooney adds a dynamic element,
allowing guests to witness large-scale creativity unfold in real time.
