The name is the oldest command there is. Que La Lumière Soit, In Latin, Fiat Lux means "Let there be light." The site is not affiliated with any religion, is not a place of worship of a deity or any individual, and is not a cult.

The concept. One quote a day about light, from known and unknown mystics, shown in its original language beside its translation, with a short annotation and one book to sit beside it. A permanent Library, organised by theme rather than by date, offers the next book worth reading. The daily quote is never paywalled. Support is an invitation, not a requirement.

Known and unknown. Some mystics have books written about them; others have legends, or nothing at all. The site holds the light to be the same either way, what a stranger can emanate is not less than what was observed in a known deity, only of a different frequency. Where an author cannot be confirmed against a real source, no author is claimed. A misattributed quote damages this site more than a missing one.
