RAIN Group and Alchemist to Reveal New Research on Leadership Trends Blocking Performance
S For Story/10703117
Sales, leadership development, and client experience leaders to host research roundtable examining the accountability, manager effectiveness, and sustained behavior change challenges that come between strategy and performance in many organizations
BOSTON - s4story -- RAIN Group, a sales training company, and Alchemist, a leadership development company, will host "The Behavior Change Breakdown: 3 Leadership Trends Blocking Performance" on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026, at 11 a.m. EDT / 4 p.m. BST.
The live virtual event will explore trends across new 2026 research studies from both companies, part of the parent company Alchemist Group. The reports are based on responses from more than 500 sales and business leaders.
The findings reveal three leadership trends contributing to a persistent execution gap between organizational strategy and consistent behavior change.
Among the research findings:
- 49% of leaders said the proportion of managers meeting performance expectations failed to improve in the past year.
More on S For Story
- 63% of leaders said maintaining accountability and execution across their organization is challenging.
- 72% of leaders said sustaining behavior change is challenging.
Performance problems often emerge when leaders and managers struggle to translate strategy into clear expectations, effective coaching, accountability, and reinforced behaviors across their teams. The upcoming event will examine where that breakdown occurs and what organizations can do to improve execution.
Alchemist CEO Russell Miller, RAIN Group CEO Scott McDonald, and RAIN Group Vice President of Client Experience Bethany Talbert will unpack the research and share how these patterns show up across the organizations they work with and what approaches show promise in overcoming them.
Attendees will learn how to:
- Diagnose the behaviors that need to change to improve performance.
- Identify what effective accountability looks like for leaders and managers.
- Connect leadership and employee development more closely to action.
- Address barriers that prevent new behaviors from being sustained.
More on S For Story
- Use practical diagnostic questions to identify execution gaps within their own teams.
