SEATTLE - s4story -- Dar Beaumont, a lovely Californian newlywed, is caught between her desire for a stable life and a haunted past which is not her own. While working at the local newspaper, Dar learns about a plague of serial killings troubling her small town. Her husband's reports from his job at the district attorney's office only confirm her fears about growing violence amid a local cult and bodies found in the local forest. Set within the beautiful city of San Marcos, based upon Santa Cruz, "The Remnant" celebrates California counterculture. Full of twists and turns, "The Remnant" challenges Dar's expectations about herself and her town.

Linda Gordon Boroff like her character Dar, attended UC Berkeley, and studied English. She grew up in Minneapolis, moving to Santa Cruz which inspired her Californian setting for "The Remnant". One of her recent screenplay became a feature-length film and several others are optioned. Linda currently lives in Santa Cruz and works as a technology writer in Silicon Valley.
